What’s Your Trick For Enjoying Holiday Treats And Staying On Track? 🎃
Since I do my exercises right when I get up the holidays really don't effect that.
As far as eating goes, I have started limiting myself to one plate and then taking home leftovers to eat throughout the week.
I have never been a big sweets kind of guy, not saying I don't eat them but it is just not what I prefer, I tend to focus on the breads, potatoes & meat.
This year is going to be a great experiment to see how it effects my overall goals for the holidays.
Too Be honest, I would just prefer to get sushi or Asian for the holidays and save the mess of cooking.
Wow this is great everyone. I do wish I didn't like sweets but they are definitely my downfall. I love anything sweet. I have tried doing small portions of food I eat. But it's those snacks after dinner. And it's like if I have something salty then I want something sweet. Crazy cycle I go through. Then there are nights I eat dinner and I'm full so no snack after dinner. I'm diabetic and need to stay away from sweets but they always call my name. All I can do is keep trying. 😄 If anybody has great sweet snacks that are horrible for me let me know. And I hate, hate cool whip. Unless it's completely frozen in an dessert of some sort.
My family really doesn't make a big deal out of holiday meals. We all contribute something and because we have a couple of vegetarians in the family, we have a lot of high protein low carb dishes along with lots of veggies. As for the sweets, they are there and while we all enjoy them, moderation is the key. It's not always easy to say no to the sweets, especially for me, but I'm slowly meeting my weight loss goals.
