I have very limited income but have had people offer to help by healthy foods. (My Dad and Stepmom) Maybe if you reach out to some family and friends someone might be willing to help! I eat 1500 calories a day. I do workout a lot though. Have you tried swimming? I think YMCAs are now offering income based fees. Maybe if you explain your situation they might help you out. Also it helps to bring proof of your diagnoses. I belong to a very expensive gym and get it for $25 a month. Since I use it daily I use it as my fun activity. There is a pool in my gym. It's called LAFitness. If you have one in your area you might get lucky. Swimming helps a lot with Fibro and joint pain. I hope this helped. We also have a local food pantry that other people I know who have diabetes and require a healthy eating style have gone to and gotten healthier food. They just explained their health issues.
My Dr put me on the military diet along with light exercise. For I too have pain issues, I have hard time walking for long periods (nothing more then 30mins at a time) and limited shoulder/ arm movement. But I light arm lifts with water bottles which keeps my arm active and have recently managed to walk from my house to five houses down and back 2xs a week, which doesn't over do my knee and seems to help keep the knee active with mild pain. So, far on the diet I've lost 14lbs and kept it off and started MAY 17th. I pray you find a solution that helps you.
Not gatehouse, i don't know why it put that
I had Gatehouse Gastric Bypass RNY in 2006.
I feel like a failure. I went from 315 to 177 in 6 months. 12 years later is all back.
I also can't move very well with back problems. I don't have insurance and no money for Dr's either.
Same problem here with food and money, my sister in law tried surgery but NEVER lost the weight
