I Called EMS To Go To ER As Directed By Doctor And Dispatcher Asked Me How Much I Weighed.
I had bladder procedure last week it was very painful and I had rough time of it. Next day I was very uncomfortable and as day wore on I was doubled over in pain so called doctor he said go to hospital. Upon calling EMS dispatcher asked me several questions regarding my health. My son is a fireman, he says they ask the weight to make sure EMT's have the proper bed for your safety. He also said they use more men to carry you also for your safety. Have you ever noticed that EMT's have cute butts. LOL
You mention that you live in a Senior Complex. Perhaps the 911 system has that address in their system for a person who is much heavier than you which would require a different transport vehicle. Other than that I can't think of why.
