I would ask your doctor for a Therapy reccommendation. Let the professionals provide you with strengthening excercises as you recuperate. Tell them your concern and I am sure they can assist you in an excercise program that you will be able to tolerate. I have been sedentary with a Meniscus Tear and Arthritis. I go to Therapy 3 days a week and it has helped.

Firstly, staying under 1,000 is more detrimental than helpful to anyone. I know I sound like one of those psychos, yelling EAT SMALL MEALS THROUGHOUT THE DAY!!!! But you really shouldn't be afraid of eating.

Know how you feel, I have a broken foot and am in a boot. I have 3 weeks to go. I really have no advise except to hang in like I am and know it will be over and we can return to our normal lives. Good luck!
