Below the surface, living with obesity can mean good days and bad days, loneliness and struggles. There's so much more to obesity than meets the eye. We know that obesity comes with many possible difficulties and emotions, all which appear invisible to outsiders. Many people make wrong assumptions about our experience.
On MyObesityTeam.com, the social network and online support group for people living with obesity, members discuss the chronic struggle of the disease and its hidden battles and successes. Throughout the year we will share themes we see come up time and time again on MyObesityTeam. We chose the image of an iceberg to represent obesity because the life-impacting implications of obesity aren't obvious on the surface. Please share to spread obesity awareness!
