Limited Mobility And Weight Loss

A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭
Greenbrier, TN

I have very limited mobility due to a blown out knee and neuropathy on top of degenerative arthritis. I am struggling to find exercises to help with weightloss. Water aerobics is available but limited in my area and the classes are currently full. Any advice would be great

@A MyObesityTeam Member, I don't really have a diet. I downloaded the app my fitness pal. It lets me count calories and has really helped me to lower my calorie intake. However, I just was diagnosed with insulin resistance so I have to cut carbs way back to 90 mg a day. My body saves carbs, and then my pancreas tries to make more insulin to get rid of the carbs. I have high insulin levels and high glucose levels. Dr says if I don't cut the carbs, I will never lose weight no matter how many calories I cut. The tracker is also helping with that because it tells me how many carbs are in each food. It really helps you to learn about weight loss.

I'm the same way. I have osteoarthritis in both hips and both knees. Even water exercise causes pain. I can't exercise enough to lose weight. I must do it strictly by diet. So far that's going well.
