I love swimming, walking in water or just walking. My nephew a strengthening coach and he was very impressed his Aunty was going to have a goal to get fit.I started to train for my first City to Surf fun run 14 kms. I accomplished it and walked the 14 kms. My first goal was 30 mins of exercise a day, 10 mins walking 3 times a day, then I had to start walking up a hill and eventually aim for one hour walk. He was so encouraging he would text me late at night and get annoyed with me when I replied because he believes everyone should sleep 8 hours for your metabolism to work correctly.

Just set a goal and try walking 10 mins 3 times a day then gradually increase your walking time. Good luck.

Walking every morning before breakfast doing it briskly as you can further faster is the goal. How far can you walk in 40 mins? If you walk before breakfast, your body will burn it's own stores of fat for energy. If you eat breakfast and then go for a walk you body will use the food you just ate, and the fat stores will be the same as they were when you started. The wonderful thing about brisk walking is that it raises your metabolic levels for many hours afterwards. It doesn't just stop because your walk has finished.

Don't forget, as well as your nutritional component, YOU MUST INCLUDE AN EXERCISE COMPONENT! Otherwise your weightloss will taper off and you will soon be back where you started. The Good thing about exercise, that part is free. Costs nothing. A 40 minute BRISK WALK BEFORE BREAKFAST is the most you need to do. So 20 mins out, and 20 mins back. As your fitness improves and your weight is dropping off, begin the next phase. FURTHER, FASTER FURTHER FASTER. Then watch with pride your new self emerge.
