Letters Of Medical Necessity

A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭
Norfolk, VA

Hello All!

I am brand new to the site here. I'm 32, and I've been heavy all my life. I have arthritis in my knees and have PCOS too. I'm going to my dr on Friday for my annual exam and I'm afraid of the news I'll hear. I have swelling in my legs and some signs of diabetes so I'm afraid that may be an outcome. I'm also planning to talk to her about Contrave. I've taken Contrave before and lost about 20lbs, but it was expensive and I couldn't afford it anymore. I'm in a better position career… read more

Has Anyone Tried Cool Sculpting To Aid In Their Weight Loss?

A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭
Lakewood, WA

I had previously considered liposuction but to be honest after the lumpectomy and subsequent treatment for breast cancer I want to stay as far away from surgery as I possibly can. I've been reading up on it. It is FDA approved but I want to hear from someone who has actually tried it.

A MyObesityTeam Member

I would like to add an update to this. I want to tell everyone the truth about Cool Sculpting. I had the initial contact, ran my insurance filled out the paperwork and was then and only then told that… read more

Can You Give Suggestions Of Healthy Snacks That Actually Taste Good?

A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭
Lakewood, WA

I am trying to find some healthy snacks that don't take like cardboard and are not chocolate. I am allergic to chocolate. I've tried granola cups with almond butter. Wasn't working for me. I've tried rice cakes. So far my favorites are apple with peanut butter (normally my lunch) and fruit of all kinds. However, when I'm working or out and about I would like something besides banana chips. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
