Going on a brief morning walk has helped. I don’t go so far to wear me out but a short walk gets my blood pumping and helps

Try the substitutes like Kava for the coffee, CF sodas, herbal teas. I like clear sodas like ginger ale, soda waters like La Croix. If you stop “cold turkey” its going to be difficult to maintain. Try reducing the size of the drink until don’t miss it. Likewise, the number of servings per day should also drop. Be sure to replace with something healthy like water or flavored water, tea or clear soda. Keep yourself busy and stay away from any “trigger” situations.
Be sure to read the labels because what you think is caffeine free might not be for example Mountain Dew and most energy drink are caffeine overload.
Its going to be tough, since like other substances that end in “ine” like nicotine, the caffeine has an addictive latch on you.

My withdrawals were mostly bad headaches for a couple of days. So I took exedrin migraine, gave me enough caffeine in the pill to dull the headache pain.

The hardest part for me was getting used to the taste of decaf. Yuk! My dietician told me about petes coffee in decaf. The decaf process is natural. Once I tried it, I was amazed at how good it tastes.
