I have previously ordered prepared meals from Factor & Mom's Meals. I have also ordered meal prep from Hello Fresh. I started a totally plant based diet (no dairy and no meat) about 2 weeks ago. I joined My Obesity Team in March 2018 at my highest ever weight of 216lbs. I am 5'5" tall. Went on the Keto Diet (not real strict) but very low carb and in 10 months lost down to my goal weight of 150lbs. I mainly believe in a balance of food groups but selecting the best choices from all. I have since gained back and now yo yoing around 165lbs. I have no serious health issues. I do take medication for high blood pressure and thyroid medication. I am a very active now 78yr old. I went on the plant-based diet mainly for a cleaner healthier way of eating. Not necessarily vowing for life, but I like to try different things for the knowledge and experience. Sometimes we tend to get stuck and bored with same things. I am a Gemini, so guess it comes easier to for me to want to try new things perhaps than for others. For years I have been eating fairly healthy, meaning adding no sugar to anything, no processed type foods, etc. I am not so rigid that I don't enjoy something off this plan occasionally. As hard for me to think of anything much I don't like when it comes to food. Believing people can still enjoy something they like and partake in moderation. Plant based way of eating is great for people that have digestive issues (think goodness that has never been my problem) and also helps reduce or eliminate body inflammation. Inflammation and all over body aches has been an issue for me. So far, the plant based (vegan) diet is going well. Never hungry, feeling less achy, etc. I was concerned about getting enough protein, but with my research I have found out there are lots of plant-based foods that are very high in protein. I realized I am actually getting more nutrients now that I was prior.

I ordered three meals from Hello Fresh. I looked for the lowest calorie options but found they were still too high. The meals were amazing. Everyone loved them. I had half servings so was still hungry. The part that I disliked was having to cook right at dinner time. I like to prepare as much of the meal as possible early in the day when I have more energy.
