How Many More Visits With A Surgeon After The First One?
I’m having bypass surgery soon (in Toronto) and have completed all of the appointments. I have my appointment with the surgeon soon and was wondering if anyone knows if I will get my surgery date at that appointment? I was told to bring a credit card to buy the shakes I need to drink prior to surgery. Also are there more surgeon appointments before surgery or just the one? I can’t find anything clear online. Thanks!
Isnt it being covered by OHIP? All was covered including stuff needed before hand.
Had one surgeon appointment and one anesthetic appointment
Does Anyone Else Ever Just Not Want To Eat?
There are days sometimes multiple days in a row where nothing sound goods, I'm not hungry, and I could just care less about eating and have to almost force myself to eat. I hate feeling like this and dont know what to do and then usually eating a ton of junk cause it's easy to eat.
Same for me. I keep grapes in the fridge, or pre prepared snacks that I can just grab. Usually, I keep them in small Ziploc, so it's less energy to grab a baggy, vs opening a bag of chips and getting… read more
Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band
Mine really isnt a question as much qs a statement. The Band does NOT reduce the size of your stomach!! It reduces the size of the opening to your stomach. Making smaller bites feel like much larger bites... your 'pouch' abive the band is not to be 'filled' as a stomach would; it is to slow your eating down.... banded since 2013.
I never new that. It explains why the weight loss is slower than th he bypass

Do Overweight People Suffer From Depression
I have been overweight ever since my first baby but when I wasn’t overweight I didn’t have depression
FYI if you are not sleeping enough sometimes you will gain weight. Also, it takes time to lose weight after having a baby. The hormone need to readjust. Don't stress, love yourself and your baby.
