Blood Pressure Monitor

A MyObesityTeam Member asked a question 💭
Saint Petersburg, FL

I am looking for recommendations for the purchase of an at home Blood pressure monitor with an "EXTRA LARGE CUFF" as I have fat upper arms and can not use a regular size cuff.
Thank you in Advance

I don't know about a type of blood pressure cuff with an extra large cuff, but I do know that you can use the blood pressure cuff on the lower part of your arm where the cuff will fit. My doctors office often takes my blood pressure on the lower part of my arm, below the elbow for that reason.

Have you tried a wrist one?

I use the kind that fil around the left wrist and then you hold your left arm close to your body with your hand almost on your shoulder. This type has proven to be accurate for me.

I use a blood pressure cuff on my forearm because I have a lot of loose skin hanging and it's hard to get a good reading their so forearm works great
